Smoking crack!

What on earth was I thinking when I said I was going to experiment with veganism? I read up on it all night and it is way too much for me to start with. So new challenge is to go lacto-ovo vegetarian for a week.

Now what's for brekkie?

But don't you feel guilty not going the full monty? I just can't stand to think of the cow udders with puss all on them get mechanically squeezed for milk. I've used breast pumps before and I know how it can get uncomfortable after you're drained.

My biggest issue is my hubby (your hubby's BFF)! He refuses to eat a meal without meat. Drives. Me. Crazy.

The PETA folks love to find footage of sad animals, but there are always bad apples.

Fact is, cows are really expensive, so the idea that farmers treat them badly isn't true. That would be like buying a new Honda and mistreating it just for the hell of it.

And unlike your titters, dairy cattle were bred for milk production, so they produce much more than they can use for a calf, and if they don't get drained, they'll develop mastitis.

I'mma go finish my foie gras sandwich now, and wash it down with some delicious HEB milk. I'm having leftover lamb shank for supper too. :P

Farmers may not treat them badly but most cows don't stay at farms for long. At a certain age most cows are shipped from farms to gigantic feed lots where animal treatment isn't given much thought.

But wouldn't you miss bacon? Gosh I love bacon. But I could get by without it if I wanted to :) Good luck!
